The Wildest Dreams of Samuel Phillips

On 30 March 1854 the Church of St. John the Baptist in the English village of Corby is the setting for an extraordinary family occasion, a rare double ceremony. Samuel Phillips and Sarah Patrick, both approaching fifty years of age, are wed. And they witness the christening of their grandson, a child of the daughter that Sarah Patrick had just given birth to when Samuel was caught poaching twenty-five years earlier.
