The Book Thief

Stanley Paul Heritage (1884-1934)

The fifth son of George and Eleanora, Stanley Paul Heritage was working in Ely, Nevada as a mechanical engineer when he decided to enlist. Instead of returning to Australia he travelled north and over the border to Windsor, Canada, and there joined the 99th Canadians as part of its overseas expeditionary force.
He eventually returned to Australia and settled in Brisbane.
