To The Pongo

From a dramatic house-burning in rural Essex and theft on the backstreets of London’s West End, to the stage of Hobart’s Theatre Royal, in just two generations the Elthams made their mark, dazzling the artistic, musical and literary circles of Tasmania and beyond. But tragically the First World War robbed them of perhaps their brightest star, when Lt. William Keith Eltham was killed on the Western Front.
